Need Help - Inside Door Handle Stopped Working

Hey guys -

The inside door handle on a '70 GMC has stopped working. It is still connected to the swing arm at the door latch, but will not open the door. The one on the passenger side works, and has a spring action to it. The driver side doesn't have any resistance or spring action to it. The outside door handle works fine.

It worked until we started closing it pretty hard when we installed new door rubber. I would appreciated anyone that has a diagram, picture or idea on what happened.

Thanks, POP

I would say the lever rod has come off, you'll have to take off door panel and have a look inside, it may have lost the clip that holds rod in place.
