Re: flowmaster pro series
I use the Hooker Aerochamber Mufflers. These are THE BEST muffler on the market.
Great Aggressive sound without the Drone at Speed and around town. Fantastic construction!! Check them out: http://youtu.be/k67iEZZg0g0 http://youtu.be/XG1YqFMShJw

Re: flowmaster pro series
I have Flowmaster 40's, all stainless exhaust done in 2000. They drone pretty good idling around the neighborhood, enough to set off about one car alarm every two blocks - which I happen to think is rather entertaining. I didn't do the work, so can't comment on "fitment" other than that they seem to "fit" just fine. They have sure aged well, no corrosion except where they were welded in.
Sometimes I figure it'd be nice to have a quieter exhaust, but then again, when you open these dudes up, babies cry and the old church ladies have conniption fits - which I also find entertaining. |

Re: flowmaster pro series
I don't know which Foowmasters mine has, because the PO installed them, but I'm very pleased with the sound. Here's a video with sound of my truck so you can get an idea

Re: flowmaster pro series
Interesting that no one has used the pro series. I figured the fitment would have been easier since they are straight thru...

Re: flowmaster pro series
drone= flowmasters
haha seriously though it's that deep constant bass sound that rattles everything in the car at certain rpms. With that said I run flowmasters and love them! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: flowmaster pro series
I didnt know flowmaster stated making non chambered mufflers. They say it has moderate exterior sound levels with minimal interior resonance. Looks similar to other brands designs, check out youtube, im sure someone has posted something with them running them. If not, just look up the similar designs and it will give you a good idea.

Re: flowmaster pro series
I had dual flowmaster 40 series, 2 1/4 piping on a 64 chevy truck with sbc 350 years ago. They were kinda aggresive and could be annoying after awhile. This time around with my 67 c10 inline 250 I went with magnaflow 2 1/4 AND i love them. SO much quieter and smoother.
