chrome water pump
Ok so i purchased a chome water pump from summit and someone at work said i made a bad mistake that they cause overheating issues and leak water. IS THIS TRUE or ? I havent installed it yet, it just arrived today.

over the years i've used a few chrome water pumps with no real problems other than the effort to keep them clean

some of the Chrome pumps have been known to leak at the gasket mating surface for 2 reasons. First the chrome doesn't seal well to the gasket. Second at times the water leaks between the chrome and the housing...it just creaps under and then slips by the gasket. I have seen this on chrome water outlets too.
