Re: Lets see some of them good looking engines out there.

Man, there are some really sharp engines on here. Beautiful. I know most of you on here were not born yet but I use to love it when I had a sharp dressed up engine in my 57 Chevy and when you went to get gas, the guy putting the gas in your car or truck for you would lift the hood to check the oil would go "WOW". They would be blown away. This is no more. The good ol days.

Are you insinuating that some of us are old? I can remember $.20 a gallon gas at the little station in the middle of nowhere and the beer runs to go get gas. Even in those days the local gas guy was not allowed to check the ooil without someone watching.

Not really. I was insinuating most on here is younger. I was very young when gas was .20 cents a gallon. But guess there are some of us "More Mature Guys" on here. lol

Looks great but not so sure about the orientation of your valve covers there.

Jwall, would like to see more pictures of you red truck. Kinda looks like my 84 after I paint it. It is now in the paint shop and going to be painted Victory Red. Love that color.

Check out my thread for more pics... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=569216

Although my truck is not victory red. It is close to the 1976 crimson red the truck originally was.

Re: Lets see some of them good looking engines out there.

Heres the small block i built for a buddy of mine. Sadly, its not going in a chevy, rather an 80 toyoduhh...
I still havent convinced my friends that toyotas arent real trucks...

The orange one went in my 79. Wish i could say it was still that clean. But its a hell of a runner!

I remember dad filling the new 1970 Delta 88 in Tunkahannock for $5.00 He never let the car go below 1/4 tank so it was prolly around 30¢ a gallon. 20¢ is a little before my time but not much.
