New Guy question

Im new around here. So a quick view of what i got 69 custom c10 lwb.
i was thinking about bagging it but the more i look around and looking at the different builds on here i thinking of getting away from the bags. What i would like to know is it possible to build this lwb truck and lower it with good parts no bags and make it a handling dream or is that out of the question.

I need some advice should i keep researching bags or should i build a lowered stout suspension. personally i want a show truck not everyday driver and maybe take it to the strip.

I prefer bags over static drop, but both have their advantages. The nice thing about bags is the ride quality and the adjustability. This way you have have a really low stance, but also be drivable by lifting it up. The static drop is a simple way to lower and don't have to worry about purchasing the air management side of things.

I've had both, I would go with bags. If you are wanting autocross handling, you can go with coilovers and crossmember upgrade like Roadstershop offers, but you will spend as much if not more than a bag setup. If you go with a static drop (springs and spindles) your truck will ride and handle better than stock, but you will be stuck at that height.

Really LOW static drops would be perfect except one thing.
The front crossmember.
It's too low to make them very fun to drive.
This requires an aftermarket crossmember like a Dropmember to gain you the neccessary ground clearance.
Air bags allow you to "air up" the front when needed.

My 5.5"/7" static dropped truck.
The a-arms are 2.5" off the ground.
