Yes these are the original doors. Haven't stripped the driver side yet but there is no surface rust so I have high hopes.

Very nice looking doors. I'm jealous, I had to spend about 60-70 hours on my doors. I'm still not done with them yet.

Got the passenger door mounted and fitted up.

Also finally got my fatmat sound deadening in. Really happy with how it turned out.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

Real nice build! One thing to consider is painting the top of the dash between the windshield frame and where the pad attaches a flat black like the factory orange trucks to cut down on glare. There's an example on my build linked in my signature.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

Had a minor setback. Went to put on the driver door and the bottom hinge nut plate inside the pillar fell out of it's cage and down into the pillar. Had to do a little surgery to fish it out and get it back in place.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

The passenger cab corner had a little damage that has been bothering me for a while so I decided to weld in a new one today

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

Worked on the truck for most of the day today. Masked the seams and laid seam sealer.

Scuffed everything after the seam sealer dried and sprayed another coat of epoxy. Planning on throwing on some high build tomorrow

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

Sprayed high build this morning. Its kinda hard to tell because its only slightly lighter than the epoxy. One quart only got me a couple coats so I will probably have to scuff this and go pick up a couple more quarts to get enough build before I sand.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

Got the rear window put in today with new rubber and trim. The installation of the new trim is just as painful as everyone says it is but we got it done.
