Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

I agree with Keith, those are badass wheels and I love them with the centers brushed. I was told a similar thing by a tire shop about my tires. They don't know anything about our trucks.

Graham, your truck is looking very nice! Have fun in Ca. Are you bringing your 69 Camaro home with you this trip?

Thank you, I won't be bringing it back just yet. I'll be putting it at my grandpas house to keep it safe but I won't bring it to nc until my truck is done.

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

On a side note, my house that I'm moving into for this school year has a really nice two car garage that I'll be moving my truck into. I spent the day doing some digging at areally cool antique place and found these signs for my garage

My car is a ss 396 AC car but it's fairly rust free. It's gonna get the pro touring treatment with a custom front clip and probably a quick change. That one will take a little longer then the truck

Truck is still at the painter. I stopped by the other day and they did all the body work, layed the final primer and were wet sanding to lay color soon. I'm headed to California Monday so I won't have any updates for a while but I can post some pictures of the bed mods I did tomorrow. Thanks for checking in

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

Here is some of the work on the bed. Mainly rust repair, also moving the center x-member back a few inches to give the pumpkin an extra 1.5 inches of clearance. And shaved the holes at the top of the bed rails

Re: 72 Cheyenne Super Plain Jane

Last few. Also doing a wheel well mod to give the wheels more clearance side to side. I'm doing a 90 degree step on the outer inside of the wheel wells rather then the stock angled pieces.

Thanks Dylan, I'll be up north so it won't be as hot as where you're at but as long as there isn't humidity I can deal with it. I was born and raised in CA so heat isn't an issue for me

You and me both, I'm gonna have some issues with the studs before I can get everything mounted. The studs on my current hubs are 5/8 thread and it's almost impossible to find nice chrome lug nuts with 5/8 thread. After I get all of that sorted then I can mount them all

Thanks RC, I'm pretty stoked about the signs. I haven't heard anything from my painter but hopefully he's getting it done
