Already lowered on coils but not low enough
As stated the truck has coils only on it and is around a 2/4 but i want to be in the 5/7 to 6/8 range drop wise. does anyone offer spindles for the front and blocks for the rear to drop it down another few inches??
pic of the truck in question:

Re: Already lowered on coils but not low enough
Is is lowered with cut coils?
Early Classic Enterprises, McGaughey's and others make spindles that will lower your truck approximately 2 1/2 inches. ECE and others have springs that will take another inch, or more, out of the front height. In the rear, anything more than 5-inches lower and you have to think about modifying or replacing the rear crossmember where the front end of the trailing arms mount and the driveshaft passes thru. Shock mounts in the rear need to be relocated, and the track bar also needs to be adjusted. If you go as much as the 8 inches lower in the rear, you're probably going to need to C-notch the frame. There are modified A-arms for the front end that allow for more extreme lowering. Check out the truck rags, Classic Trucks, Custom Classic Trucks and Street Trucks for ads from companies that offer what you need. Also, look at the vendors on this site. You can access them from the home page. They may offer you a better price than you could get from an non-site vendor.

Re: Already lowered on coils but not low enough
okay cool, thanks guys and yeah ive got a bad habit of having to get every vehicle i own on the ground 19673ontree, If you all had to recommend a company which would it be? im not looking to spend a fortune seeing as this is a budget build in many ways.
for example, this is my other weekend toy, 01 ss camaro, 370 LQ9 h/c/i

Re: Already lowered on coils but not low enough
Here's a pic of mine I just lowered. I used Early Classic Enterprises 4/6 drop kit. I also added 1" lowering blocks in the rear to even out the stance. I'm very happy with it. A c-notch will be added within a few weeks. Wheels and tires are 255/55/17 all the way around. No rubbing.

Re: Already lowered on coils but not low enough
That is the exact stance that i want, just right on top of the tires, id be okay with a little bit of tucking too. no more then an inch though.
btw your truck looks absolutely killer man

Re: Already lowered on coils but not low enough
We offer drop spindles, drop front & rear coil & leaf springs, & drop blocks all on our web site and ALL are made in the USA. If you use drop spindles you do need to convert to disc brakes in the front on 67-70 trucks. Our lowering springs are engineered then custom wound and tempered to the specific truck they are purchased for based on ton rating, wheelbase, motor & transmission size, bed style and if truck has A/C or not as these all affect proper spring rating due to changes in weight which we found is better than just pulling a set of lowering springs off the shelf and the same springs shipped to a 6cylinder short wheelbase truck as are shipped to a V8big block long wheelbase as the other companies do. Each set of springs is then checked after the manufacturing process to ensure they are correctly calibrated and a matched set. So you'll never install our springs and then find that 1 side sits higher than the other like you find with the imported springs sold by all the others. That is unless your frames damaged, then no ones springs will help you sit level.

Re: Already lowered on coils but not low enough
I don't mean it to sound disrespectful, .. just curious on the budget you have in mind? Ex. If I were doing the build, and had X amount of money to do it .. I can give you a better suggestion as to what I would do ..
Are you wanting to convert to 5 lug, discs, etc. .. while you're at it ?

Re: Already lowered on coils but not low enough
The only way one of these is a "budget build" is if you just happen to have all of the parts you will need....just laying around. If you have to go out into the marketplace to get the bits and pieces....then you will have to be cautious in your spending.
You get what you pay for, so don't equate the lower price as the better option. That simple fact has had my truck tied up for almost 6 years.
