Re: Core Support Mounts
For the bushings or grill mounts or hood mounts?

Re: Core Support Mounts
Wow that's serious. Looks like you might have to cut one off a frame at your local salvage yard

Re: Core Support Mounts
I may, I was going to buy a perfect 88-91 style Suburban front end but I can't find mounts so I have to hold off until I can find the mounts.

Re: Core Support Mounts
The only problem I will have with that is I can't get air tools into the local yard and its the only one around.

Re: Core Support Mounts
If you don't have any luck in the junk yard I would try some of the members that are parting entire trucks in the for sale section on the board. They also pop up on eBay from time to time.

Re: Core Support Mounts
If a grinders not available, I'd cut the entire horn off the front end and then grind it off at the house

Re: Core Support Mounts
Is the wole mount thin? If not, I would trim them back until there was enough meat and weld in a new section.

Re: Core Support Mounts
Not really sure, I thought about doing that but then I couldn't figure a way to keep the sides level.

Re: Core Support Mounts
I work at a salvage yard. we have 3 burbs, I could cut some mounts off for you if you are unable to locate some on your own.

Re: Core Support Mounts
although i work at a salvage yard, i am only in the yard 1 hour per day, I am the tow truck driver and delivery driver. I am not there enough to round up all the parts that i wish i could hoard. but, I dont. a huge bummer. but it is what it is and when i have the opportunity to help i will.
