Gmc side emblems????

Has anyone added side emblems to their truck? I've been thinking about adding some emblems from the 55-59 era just because the sides on the gmc's are so plain...... Would love to see pics if you got them

GMC 1/2 tons were called "1000" these years. It would be cool if you found some 1000 emblems off of something else and used those.

I just bought a 62 with a Hydramatic... I kinda like that! Unless they are repopped I doubt they are real common?

Just found a set on E-bay for $375. Kinda rough and kinda $$$...

Why 55-59 era? 60-66 pickups did not have emblems but medium duty trucks did. The medium duty trucks have the correct letter styling on emblem that matches the lettering found under grill. THe 60-65 emblem is 2 pieces put together, just use the GMC part, not the 4000, 5000, 6000 part etc. Can't post a photo because of the sites file size problem or I would. '66 medium trucks also had emblems, but the lettering style was changed on emblems and grill.

Here is a link to some fender emblems for 68-72 these are re-pops I wonder if you could contact the re-popper and get some made that say 1000 instead of 1500 of course that might have a problem with copy-rights or be $$ Just a random thought..Vernski

Idk... Just like the 55-59 script...may not put anything on it.... may just get some big C emblems, like on the late 2000 dodge cummins
