ECE Drop Crossmember

I'm looking at buying a previously owned but never used ECE drop crossmember, 5" drop springs and some other rear suspension parts for my 72 C10 project.

This is a joint project with my dad and he doesn't want it too low. I'm wondering if we end up swapping the springs and going to with something like a 4" drop will I still have a benefit from the ECE crossmember? The manuals say designed for 5" drop.

I'm assuming that this would be better with a 4" even though it is not required and the stock setup works. Thoughts?

Re: ECE Drop Crossmember

Answered my own question by getting a hold of customer support.

Basically they said No, it may have issues with the drive shaft hitting the bottom of the crossmember if a 4" drop spring is used.

So there you go.
