Finished Product! Color is from a 2004 nissan 350z, Burnt orange. Looks Amazing.

Alright, so this is my 1970 GMC ShortStep Pickup. My great uncle bought the truck brand new off the line, and got cancer so he passed it on to my grandpa. My grandpa restored it, but lived in Salt Lake City, Utah. He then passed it on to me, and i created my dream truck. I started when I was 16, and finished at the age 18, just before i left for Marine Corps Bootcamp. I am currently stationed in Cherry Point, NC while my truck is back home. (dont judge the 20s, they are being removed. i just havent found a wheel tire combo i like, i need 18s because of the 14 inch disc brakes im putting in the front.)

I am currently saving money to put into my truck. I will total out to 6-8000 over the next six months, and i would like to put it all into my truck. But i have questions first. Right now it has a 3/3 drop, but i think it needs to go lower. I found a set of 2" drop spindles. and i wanted to know if i needed to C-Notch my frame if i put a 4-5" rear drop on it, so i have more wheel tuck inside the fenders. This truck is going to be a drag truck, (not a serious 9 second 1/4 mile truck. just an 11 second street truck) so i wasnt sure if i could Launch hard and not hit the bump stops. I also need to find a good set of shocks as well. please help

Any input is greatly appreciated. Any ideas for wheels/tires, springs, brakes, anything. please help!
