L.L. Bean Catalog
Just got home and amongst the junk mail was a new L.L. Bean catalog with a nice looking scene on the cover. There's also a beautiful lake and forest in the background . Notice the reference to these trucks in the text at the bottom of the cover.
It seems these trucks just can't escape the artful Eye of advertising art designers these days. Does anyone else have an example of these trucks as advertising props?

Re: L.L. Bean Catalog
A whole stack do you want more pictures? Lets see, among them are, Ecklers, Brothers, Classic Industries, The Truck Shop and LMC to name a few. :-)

Re: L.L. Bean Catalog
I think we're going to find out this week every 67-72 fan who receives LL.Bean catalogs. Panel Deland started a thread in General Disco, also. Sure Tim,show what you've got. I was asking for more examples. Was thinking more off product catalogs not related to the trucks, but the more obvious truck catalogs will ad "art" to the thread for sure

Re: L.L. Bean Catalog
I posted a comment on this a couple weeks ago.I was surprised but grateful that a marketing firm found these trucks to be a classic representation of Americana.

Re: L.L. Bean Catalog
And every L.L. Bean fan who is also a fan of 67-72 chevy trucks! My entire wardrobe has been L.L. Bean for the past six years. I do have a few Orvis shirts, but am a huge fan of L.L. Bean clothing and other products.

Re: L.L. Bean Catalog
I think we posted (as well as one other member) on the same day about the L.L. Ben catalog. You commented on the tailgate holding both butts w/o bending...and how it must be OEM. I didn't see anything about Cabela's. I got some sale e-mail this morning that showed the Suburban when I went to shirts. I should have posted about L.L. Bean catalog that we'll know "when" members got their catalog. I started ordering L.L. Bean stuff when I was still in H.S. They broke the ice for the popular mentality that didn't want to buy anything they can't touch.Their customer service was like none other. If you mailed in an order for a thing that was out of stock, they'd call you to ask if you wanted a refund or were willing to wait till the specified date. Everything but large items was "postage paid".

Re: L.L. Bean Catalog
I remember when places like LL Bean and Eddie Bauer actually had outdoor gear, not just high end clothes.

Re: L.L. Bean Catalog
Yeah,I ordered my first back country camping/backpacking equipment from them. They sure didn't sell slacks and dress shirts. I also ordered my Lee Riders and they were cheaper than buying local.

Re: L.L. Bean Catalog
I remember visiting LL Bean when it was one building in Freeport. You had to climb these creaky old stairs to get to the sales floor. Most of the stuff for sale was hunting and fishing supplies. They had limited clothes except for outdoor apparel. I grew up about 20 minutes away in the Portland area.
Cool picture!

Re: L.L. Bean Catalog
Hey Tom,I remember that, too. My good friend's,now brother-in-law,family all have places in Biddeford Pool. I went up with him to do repairs in the '70s and we went there. He married my sister in Kennebunkport, which I attended ('82). Fast forward to a few years ago and they live in Sabego along the lake and I can't seem to get up to see them. Maine is a great place. It's cool to know that's where you're from
