Adjusting a downshift cable?
Hi! I have a th350 transmission and Edelbrock carburetor, and it has a universal downshift cable. Can someone explain to me how to adjust this? I know I have to use that cable and move the little cable lock to set it. I just need to know how far the throttle is to be in order to trigger the downshift, or advice.
And which one of these would I be more than likely using?

Re: Adjusting a downshift cable?
Do not know if its the "right way" but I have always adjusted mine so the cable it at full extension (pulled out of the tranny sheath) when the carb is fully opened. any sooner and the kickdown cable will stop before full throttle. I think kickdown happens before it is fully extended so partial throttle kickdown still works.
