carpet poll
I'm finally ready for carpet.I was wondering who has the best fit for full length carpet? and what have you guys been using for sound deadener? I'm concerned that in the future I may end up wanting to take the sound deadener back off. will it be difficult to do that? how should I attach the carpet to the sound deadener. I tried reading some other posts, but there's quite a few out there. Thanks in advance.

Re: carpet poll
I have no idea on the carpet fit question. I think I'm going to go with autocarpetdirect on ebay. It will cost me about 150.
I plan on using tape to hold my sound deadner down. Basiclly install in sections. This will aid in the removal of it later when I want to redo something. I dont plan to glue the the carpet down. I will use the seat brackets to hold the rear section down. I plan to use velcro for the top seation. Good luck

Re: carpet poll
I got my carpet from autocarpet direct and it has the sound deadner attached already. I have not installed it yet, but I am pleased with the quality and price of it. I plan to install once I change the interior color this fall.

Re: carpet poll
I used CPP. It's pre molded and fit pretty good. They send it bigger than it needs to be so you can cut to fit.
I also threw down "ensolite" under the carpet. It's a closed cell foam that doesn't retain water but provides pretty good sound deadening,. I used the free form stuff without sticky backing. link - http://www.raamaudio.com/categories/...Foam-Products/ Alex |

Re: carpet poll
ACC Auto Custom Carpet is one of the best out there. A little more Expensive but excellent quality.

Re: carpet poll
I laid the carpet from autocarpetdirect last night. It fit great and was a GM resto product! Very happy with the quality.

Re: carpet poll
It does go all the way back. There is about 4" to spare so plenty of extra.

Re: carpet poll
Cool. Yeah post some pics. Did you use any sound deadener and did you use any adheasive on the carpet? I was wondering how it looks and sits at the trans hump.

Re: carpet poll
I used some left over dynamat I had and then finished it with the home depot roofing stuff. I dont plan on using adhesive. There are enough things to hold the carpet to the floor and the backing is pretty stiff so I think it will hold its self up on the firewall.

Re: carpet poll
Dang, KJSR, that looks good! I think I would have an even worse problem of making the rest of the cab look like crap, though, haha. Mine's a little rougher than yours.

Re: carpet poll
Still trying to decide on who to go with. I like that ACC is USA made. Pricy tho. Is it worth the extra 100? I seen a price of 243 on their site. KJSR i think paid 150.
