Dash Pad Crack

I've got a 1/16" crack in my dash pad. Otherwise, it's perfect. Any fairly easy fixes for this and what type of paint could I respray the pad with? I'm also restoring a steering wheel and will be having that paint color-matched at O'Reilly to spray it myself. I did not know if the same paint could be used on the dash pad material.

If you got one crack in it, there are probably more chambered up ready to go soon. After you go through the hassle of repairing, then masking and painting, you may have been better off buying a new one, and then using a good interior cleaner regularly with sun blocking properties (stay away from Armor All brand). Back in the day, that's the crap everybody used. Makes me wonder if that's why most original dash pads are as cracked as they are

Good point. May just go new. Any sort of special paint one would need to use? I'm going to be at the mercy of what O'Reilly's paint department can mix up for me.

When you paint vinyl, you need to clean first with a degreaser, then you need to use an adhesive promoter, then you need to use vinyl spray paint. If you just spray it over with regular spray paint, it'll look like spray painted vinyl lol and won't last

I'll see if they can mix any spray paint suitable for vinyl. Does the steering wheel take any special type of paint?

The steering wheel is more of a plastic, so I used spray paint for plastic, followed by several coats of clear spray paint for plastic. It has held up well, through this past winter and a summer that's been hotter than hell

Hope I'm not jacking your thread, but it goes along with dash pad crack. What would someone use to repair the cracks in a dash pad instead of buying a new one?
Also, what would someone use to repair cracks in a steering wheel?
