Arrow FYI: Black Seat Belt Alert!

For those still looking for OEM black seat/shoulder belts for their truck. Saw these on Ebay being auctioned. Bid is low so far, but should fetch under $100 I think.

I don't really need them, but I would buy them just to have. They are not real easy to find.

But, it looks like there's going to be a bidding war. 7 bids on the first day and already up to $41.00. It looks to me like someone really wants them.

Why can't folks understand that bidding on this stuff early like this just drives up the price. I always do my bidding in the last 30 seconds. Never before. No use in it. Of course I do use sniping software too.

Instead of killing the guy, just use it too. I use it, but you still can loose the auction if you don't bid high enough.

Here's the one I use. Works great. A lot of the software is never updated after ebay changes things. Thus they will quit working. I went through this with Isnipeit. As a matter of fact, they just updated Auction Sentry today.

You lazy punks!

I snipe now and then..but I do it the old fashioned way...open two windows..one to refresh the time, the other to place my last second bid. Haven't lost one yet.

Of course, having DSL helps.

It is a free software program available online that will place your bid to Ebay or other auctions within 10 seconds before the auction ends. Your winning the auction is still based upon your bid which should be the most you are willing to bid, so it is still possible for someone who is willing to spend more than you can still win. At least it doesn't show your hand in the poker game of Ebay until 10 seconds before it ends, which doesn't give other players a chance to outbid you.

Go to www.hammersnipe.com to download it. Its limited as to how many you can snipe per month, unless you buy their package deal.

I think that the sellers often bids on his own stuff ( under another name)to drive the price up. I know sellers on e-bay that do this.

Sure, if I only sat at a desk all day at work, and done nothing but play on the compter, I could do it the old fashioned way. But some of us actually have to work for a living. Which means, getting dirty and outside to boot.

As for me, a lot of the stuff I'm bidding on (not truck related), I have more than one auction ending within a few seconds of each other. Sometimes 4 or 5. No way I can cover them all without sniping. A lot of them end during the day when I'm away from the computer. No way I'm bidding anytime before 30 seconds of an auction end. It's totally useless. It only drives up the price. I hate it when people do this.

If you don't want to snipe, you can also use Auction Sentry to place a bid anytime you want. It really helps you keep up with what's going on too. But the way I look at it, everyone is doing it, so if you don't try to snipe, either with software or like Jeff says, you are not going to win many auctions. But, as said, it all has to do with how much you bid. If the previous bidder has a higher proxy than what your maximum is, you will still loose. It's a guessing game. You have to try and figure out what his maximum is and see if the item is worth it to you.

Snipe or loose.

I hear a jealous barefoot carpenter!!

I don't buy too much on e-bay, and I never have more than one auction ending at a time...I am too broke for that!

I agree though on bidding late, there is no need to bid early...bid at the last minute..it's the only way to go.

Man, I wish I had a bunch of black seatbelts. You could make a killing with them things. $113.50 and still over 3 days left. I bet they hit $200.00 before long.

If you look at the bidders, you can see why they are going on up. The first bidder had a feedback rating of 119, the rest are around 0 to 1's. They don't fully understand what it is they are doing.

If any of you guys are bidding on these things, stop it. Wait until 30 seconds or so before the auction ends. You are only driving the price up.

Why are you guys giving away secrets? You tell one person they tell another and pretty soon everyone is doing it. You should keep this type of information to your selves.

Did someone say they should fetch under a $100?? Try $202.50. Them things must be as rare as I thought. I guess if they were in real good shape, they would be worth it. Heck, by the time you buy aftermarket crap that don't fit or work right, you would have more than that in them.

I was planning on bidding on them until they went over the c note mark. I seen the war was on and gave up.

Talking

Boy! was I off target Hope this doesn't cause more truck break-ins, due to the high market value of the black belts.
