1970 Chevy Custom Going to the Crusher

This truck is rough in every way, we r pulling drivetrain out and taking it to the crusher. Just wanted to throw it up and see if there's anything anybody wants before we do. We have a plasma cutter so can cut patch panels as well. The chassis 73-87 not original.

That one headlight looks like it is in good shape. LOL

Kidding aside, nice of you to offer up what parts are left on it.

What about the lower steering shaft w/ coupler, 4x4 steering gear box, 4x4 pitman arm and knuckles?

Thanks

Re: 1970 Chevy Custom Going to the Crusher

Can you post some pics?

1) lower steering shaft w/ coupler - mostly interested in the rubber seal and coupler inner parts.
2) 4x4 steering gear box
3) 4x4 pitman arm
4) knuckles - they are the large oddly shaped components that the ball joints attach to at the end to the axils. Wheel lugs go through them. Steering tie rode goes all the way across from one side knuckle to the other knuckle.

Thanks
Jim

If that dually truck rim in the back is a 22.5", please don't crush it, those are very desirable to certain people

Re: 1970 Chevy Custom Going to the Crusher

Andy, thanks for the pics.

1) 4x4 pitman arm (comes off bottom of gear box, 6in long 2in wide)
Yup, that's what I need.

2) lower steering shaft w/ coupler
I'll pass, looks like seal is torn

3) 4x4 steering gear box
Right price, I'll take it.

4) knuckles - they are the large oddly shaped components that the ball joints attach to at the end to the axils. Wheel lugs go through them. Steering tie rode goes all the way across from one side knuckle to the other knuckle.
Yup, that's what I need.

5) Brake dust covers, dust plates.
Those look like the good solid think ones. I'm interested, especially since you need to yank those to get to the knuckles.

This is heavy stuff, but we should be able to come to terms if you are willing to do some wrenching.

Give me a call, so we can discuss in more depth.

Thanks
Jim
