air tank pressure switch faluire..which brand to use

I have a 5 gal tank with a viar 380, smc water seperator. I drain the tank once a month and drain the water trap weekly. This yr I have had 2 pressure switches stick open on me what is the best brand to use and is this normal. Maybe rust is getting to them? Or could it be the normal made in china junk parts. Any thoughts
Thanks guys

Re: air tank pressure switch faluire..which brand to use

I use VIAIR's and these have always worked well for me, for many years. You want to make sure the pressure switch is on the high side of the tank if at all possible.

Are you using a relay with the system? If not, this will kill the pressure switch early, since all the amp draw is all on the pressure switch. If you wire in the system using a relay, it will take the amp load off the pressure switch (put it on the relay), and should solve any problems you are having.

I carry both these items in stock.

Thank you for the reply.
Yes it is on a relay w/ the pump BUT it is on the lowest angled bung on the side of the air tank where I'm sure moisture could get to it...lol.
I already was cruising your site today making a list of goodies. Thank you again
