56 GMC Cameo or...

Would the GMC just be called a fleetside?? Anyways. There is a 56 GMC short fleetside for sale locally. Tim is going to take a good look at it tomorrow and wants to know if there is anything he should be aware of

The GMC equivalent to the Cameo was known as the Suburban Carrier (SC -- http://www.1955gmc.com/). Cameo/SCs utilize the stepside box. 1958 was the last year for the SC and the first year for the Fleetside.

If the sides are metal it is a 56 GMC with a 58-59 Fleetside bed.
