Newb from SC with a 68 GMC
Hey guys,
Just thought I'd introduce myself, since I have been loitering on this site for a few months without being a true participant. I have been messing around with GM pickups ever since I knew what one was. I bought my first one when I was 14, a 51 Chevy 3100 SWB 2wd, 12 years ago and haven't seemed to be able to shake the bug since. Currently, I have the 51 a 86 C10 SWB 2wd, and the main reason I'm on this site, a 68 GMC C1500, LWB 2wd. The 68 is the newest addition, and is currently the main focus in my garage. I got a pretty good deal on the ol GMC due to the fact that it had a tore up Rear diff. As I was told, so take it for what it's worth, an older gentleman had this beaut as his little hot rod. It was partially restored about 11 years ago, so it's a little further ahead then some of its counterparts. But she's been sitting for over 8 years under a gumball tree. Not really sure about anything else, other than its running a TH350, and a small block. The engine has been mildly modified, with a mild cam with a morosso roller set up. Edlebrock performer intake, and a 4150 holley. Still trying to sort everything out since i've only had a few days with it. But I'll be sure to post pics from the big changes. |

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

Re: Newb from SC with a 68 GMC
I just thought about, I have a 68 rear end that's available if you need one. I'm going to be using my 72 parts on my project. I'll check the for the id sometime tomorrow, needs some serious cleaning

Re: Newb from SC with a 68 GMC
Thanks for the offer, but I had a 12 bolt laying around. Just needed a little modifications to go from the coils to the leafsprings.
