Help plug 72 stock exhaust manifold holes

I wanna remove my smog pump on my 72. I don't need it an it'll give me more room to work on things. My question is what have other members used to plug the holes on the exhaust manifolds or any suggestions? Plus any advice on any vacuum lines I need to plug or anything else once I remove the smog stuff? I'm kinda new to all this an the more I do myself the more money it saves me to spend on other stuff for my truck. Thank you

Re: Help plug 72 stock exhaust manifold holes

I would hold onto all the smog stuff and not alter for someone who is going factory stock. If you have a 2wd truck, these manifolds are not tough to find.

I think the carb has one extra vac port. Other than a few brackets, carb, exhaust manifolds, pump and hoses, there is nothing else to take off.

The holes in the exhaust manifold are NOT pipe plugs.....1/4''.....(although they will work in a pinch), you need to pickup some tubing plugs at your local parts store. I think they are 5/16 tubing.
