Unhappy wheel question ??

Hi , does anyone know if I can put late model 6 lug larger (17") wheels on a 1972 K10. I am trying to improve the gas mileage without having to change the front and rear ends!! which stock wheels will fit these old girls??? thanks Erik

As far as I know the lug pattern is the same (I know it was the same up 2002). The problem may be offset. Later model wheels have more backspacing will sit far under the fenders on older trucks.

I put '74 Blazer 15 X 8 rims on my 2000 Z71, and they stuck out of the fender wells.
