Alternative to running board steps
Thought i'd share this with everyone, I used 1,4 inch 1/2 round body side moulding.drove it all summer keeps your feet off the paint and is holding up great.

My uncle has a Packard with a similar look.
his is a solid "D" shape made from stainless. very expensive, although I would like to do the same. where did you find that body side molding? |

This is not a new idea. In fact it's pretty old. I've seen it done on various cars & trucks at shows for at lest 20+ years. But it IS an excellent reminder, thank you to Brikar. By the way, your truck is outstanding, huge congratulations.

for the record; i used 3M paint protection film to protect my step wells it is a clear film that is applied like window tint with soapy water and a squeegee. it protects the paint from scrapes from shoes. most new vehicles have this protective film on the back of the wheel wells.
