Cam and intake/carb for my 78 C-15

About an hour ago I took a major step in building my motor. For 3 mos my patient machine shop has had my 69 4 bolt block. He did .030 over, installed new complete Scat 5.7in rotating assy. So today I ordered from Summit Howard Hyd roller cam and lifters #110245-10, Comp Rocker arms #17001-16, Comp springs 986-16, Comp retainers 740-16, Comp valve locks 611-16, Weiand intake 8502 and Summits Holley type double pmp 750 carb. WOOOEEEEEEE things are finally happening around here. Ive said before im 61 and finally getting my Hot Rod. Money is spent for the moment 1,437$ for todays order but i still need balancer, soes it have to be 250$fluid thing? Timing gear set up water, oil pumps, dist, valve covers, the guy at Summit suggested 2500 torq conv for my th350,another 250? Ive never driven a tq conv car, isnt 2500 a REAL change from stock? Dont even know if Im pposting in right spot but i hopw somebody replys and we talk about all this stuff im wondering about. How do I add photo to this comment? And I want to put photo on left under Old School
