Re: It's the Season!

It sure is, 1 1/2 of ice and 2 inches of snow, more coming tomorrow, ice that is. I was going to make the best of it and work on the truck today, and then the wife's car breaks down. Going to try again tomorrow.

Re: It's the Season!

No Orrie, pretty much an un affordable family holiday with my wife & 3 kids. I lost my Dad back in april & its kinda put life in a different perspective.
Plan is 3 weeks in California, haven't purchased air tickets yet but hope to by mid Jan.

Understand, my Dad is in hospice at the end of his life. It has brought us kids much closer together too.

I hate it when Summer flies south for the Winter.
"Ain't no sunshine when she's gone."

We had snow, then rain, then as I was about to shovel this dusting off the porch tonight, freezing rain started to fall. They've dumped so much salt on the roads that the '57 refuses to leave the barn until July for fear it will dissolve in a cloud of oxides and dust.

But hey, it's New England and the holiday season wouldn't feel right to a Yankee if there wasn't any bad weather to grumble about.

I've been through similar. Though sad, the clarity and focus this brings can be remarkable.

Re: It's the Season!

Slipped and slid my way to work this morning....not much snow but it was wet before the snow and now it is ice....need to ditch the 2wd dually and find a 4wd. They don't maintain the road the our new house is on.
