Turn single canceling cam and horn

While working on my steering column on another project I realized the reason my horn didn't work was because a section of the turn single canceling cam was broken off (the nipple that stands out). What else would be required to repair this? I tried pulling one out of a mid 80s S10, but it didn't fit. While trying to ratchet the lock plate down with this new canceling cam installed I started to bend my lock plate. In several images I see a wire connected to a pin located inside the nipple that stands out. Any insight here would also be appreciated.

This isn't my image and one borrowed from the internet. The nipple i'm referring to is on the bottom of this image. That is what is current broken off of mine.

i should highlight that this is for a 1975 Chevy K5 Blazer. I'm confident it's not that different from a truck. If i'm wrong let me know and i'll move this to the blazer forum.

The canceling cam's changed over the years they all look alike but they can be different. Im not sure but LMC may sell them i'd look there and buy one for your year truck.

Re: Turn single canceling cam and horn

You just need the correct cancel cam. The wire just pushes in with a spring and turns to lock in.

If the wire is missing you will need that also. It connects to the nipple and to the horn pad.
