67 power steering with a 5.3 vortec motor?

Hey guys my question if can I use my stoc power steering pump on my 5.3 vortec engine that I put in with a stoc 67-72 power steering gear box? What lines will I need and anything has to be adapted. I know the frame will need fab work. Thanks

Just swap the fittings on the back of your 67-72 pump and 5.3 pump.

They thread into the pump body with the same thread. No need to change hoses.

Yes, just buy the 5.3 water pump fittings, should be available at your GM dealer.

I do not have the stock pump or any hoses so I will need to buy them but I can go to any auto parts store and get the hoses for a 67 and they should fit on the 99 pump?

You need the sae fitting to replace the metric fitting in the back of the ls ps box then you can use the stock 68-72 hoses. 67 had a quite different power steering setup.
