Re: NOS side markers

OK, it was worth a try.

Do these lenses have Guidex written in script on them? I am trying to get the exact correct ones for my truck.

Re: NOS side markers

They don't have Guidex in script, but you can see in the second picture of each color it says - 8L GUIDE IT - in the middle.

Re: NOS side markers

oh the interweb and it's infinite wisdom...

so I don't have the time right now, but at a quick glance of the following site,
what I thought was an L is a one.
The 8 = GM,
the 1 = Chevrolet

Also, what I thought was an I, is a 1.

The 1T is GMC/Chevrolet Truck

GuideX
The X = reflector

I just took the pad off the back of my old GuideX and it reads:
GUIDE 1T
SAE P1A 68

P = Parking, not sure of the 1A, (1-Chevrolet and possibly A-"various models and station wagons") and 68 is the year.

If anyone is interested ... Guide yourself!

Oh thanks....do the amber ones also work (as inside the front bumper)? Can those be used to preplace the ones in the front bumper of my '72?

Shipping of 3 sets to 25832?

Shipping of 2 sets to 25832?

Re: NOS side markers

These are not replacements for the lights in the bumper, they only fit the front fenders and the bed.
I wont be able to check shipping for you until I return, I'm currently at the Denver airport heading South for the holiday and won't be back until the 26th or 27th.
Your first in line pending my reply for the shipping.

Merry Christmas!

Re: NOS side markers

I believe these are reproductions. The originals should have "Guidex" written in script. All of my Counterpart reproduction lenses have Guide It in regular block letters as these lenses do.

What do you mean by Counterpart?
I believe Guide was a GM company, no?

I'm hoping this isn't correct since I've never seen a set of Counterpart reproductions of these in person and a set of those can be bought for $40.

Agree, I also noticed the 2 tabs/gussets on the back are not correct and also the lenses appear to be one piece not two.
