How much to pay for a short bed fleet side (bed only)

Looking for a bed for my 72 k10 and wanting to know what the going rate is currently. I've found several from 500-1100 bucks. 500 is junk and 1100 is solid but with 2 fuel doors cut in it. If I could talk the later down to 800ish would this be a fair price considering its solid rust free condition or should I keep looking?

I sold my old short box bed sides for 150/each. I bought brand new bed sides for 500/each. Nice ones in my area you don't come by so I didn't have much of an option

Try Craigslist, in the want to buy section and put a add in the local sell paper, I would think in the desert there ought to be one to be had for maybe 500. I don't know they are getting hard to find but thats what I'd ask in my add, and try the local salvage yards too. If your not in a hurry you can always pay more later.

Complete beds in the southern TN/north AL area sell for $300-400 on Craigslist.

Here in Ca. (when I have them) I can sell short fleet beds in decent condition in the $800 to $1,000 range all day long, the nicer ones in factory paint with tail gates usually go between $1,300-$1,500, and right now I have a waiting list!

Finding a good SWB bed around here for under $800 would be rare

Re: How much to pay for a short bed fleet side (bed only)

I got mine for $350 with a very bent aftermarket tailgate and a barrel rolled floor. I pretty much bought two solid short fleet bedsides for $350 because I'm replacing everything else (bed panel, floor, tailgate, etc) so a GOOD, SOLID, COMPLETE bed is definitely worth 800-1,200K. Good original tailgates can go for $3-500.

There are a set of bed sides on LV CL. Not mine but look good for the price.

Re: How much to pay for a short bed fleet side (bed only)

I have been lookn for short fleet bed as well. I can get 1 for $1,500.00. I have a line on long bed in good shape for $500.00. I'm thinking of cutting it down to short bed.
