This 1973 3/4 K20 Camper Special was purchased by a friend of mine when it was two years old. Jerry turned 80 and hadn't used it since 2008, so I bought it knowing that he'd appreciate having it fall into friendly hands. Jerry was an engineer and did some trick things with it: front ball hitch, inside cab hood latch, rear hitch extended out past the camper so he could tow the boat seen in the background.

I have two goals: make it SERVICEABLE AND PRESENTABLE, as close to stock as possible.

I am so tight I squeak, so I'll do everything as economically as possible. I have no earthly use for a truck like this, so I guess the long term goal is to flip it. (ha, ha - I've seen where others have started out this way!)

When I found this Forum, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

Now, to get the truck towed home and get it running. Oil change, new plugs, and new fuel pump to start. Hoping to buy a hood I found on CL. Oh yeah, got to get the brakes working sometime soon.

Hopefully the brakes are first on the list! Good project, will keep an eye on this one
