Before I start looking for doors for my truck I want to make sure what all doors will fit my truck. Could someone please help me out there. It's much appreciated.

Thanks, Lyn

Re: 72 GMC Pickup Doors

The 72 doors have a unique to them phillips screw just under the rear of the wing window. All doors from 67 thru 72 will bolt on but to be year correct you need to be looking for 72 only. Gmc or chevy will do.

Thanks westong! Will the 67-72 match up with my 72 fenders and bed. The reason I ask is I bought a door but not sure of exact year. It looks just like my door except no side mirror. Will I be ok to use this one?

Re: 72 GMC Pickup Doors

The outside lines of all of the doors will match up with your fenders, cab and bed.
1967 doors have a different angle for mounting the outer door handle.
1972 doors are set up for the 1972 only door panels, they use different window regulators, and they have the extra "support" hole just under the vent window for the screw that keeps the door from separating.
You can bolt the 1972 regulator to an older door and drill the holes for the plastic clips that the 1972 door will use.

Any seasoned 67-72 fan will notice the missing screw if you use an earlier door, but that's pretty much the only chance you are taking. To most people it won't be a big deal.
