like i need another project
does anyone know where i can get a chevy or GMC coe in restorable shape for cheep or reasionable price

47-54 Cab over engine trucks are cool, remember they made them up to '66. They are 1 1/2 ton and up series. There's a welder near here that has a '52? cab over welding rig truck for his business. Definitely stands out!

i thought they made em til the seventies cause the utilities use em here or did you still can find em at a couple of dealers here most of em carried the large spools of wire for phone or power
unless we are thinking of two different types of trucks could ya maybe post a pic of them?

In 1955 Chevrolet replaced the COE with the lower profile, short nosed design called the Low Cab Forward (LCF) design.

those coes got to be the coooolest units.hope you get one Blk&blu, I seen a coe tow truck awhile back for sale, had a neat visor on it, that would be an expensive restore I bet but worth it

Yeah, I've always wanted one to have as a tilt bed or rollback car hauler, but there sure aren't many around here!!! Oh well maybe one of these days!!!

There's a GMC COE for sale at a guys house down the road from my buddy's bodyshop in north Texas...I saw it this weekend. It's out in the country, so not a lot of people drive by there. If you're serious, I could get my buddy to get the number for you. If so, send me a PM.

I love those things, especially the crew cabs. Awsome family hauler and the Model A would look really cool on the back of one.
