Shock Absorber Question

Hey everyone, I have a 6in lift and want to go to a 4in. I was wondering if I could just use the shocks that I have which can accommodate 6in of lift with the new 4in kit. I can't see why it would matter but thought I'd get some insight from 67-72. What do you guys think?

Two inch difference it should be ok. As long as it doesn't bottom out when the spring flexes. I believe a lot of shocks for lifts go for 4-6 inch lift are the same size.

I've got super lift 6" springs all the way around right now so to bring it down to 4" I needed to buy 4" springs for all four corners. I'll also be using the ORD zero rate. I went with Superlift again because I was looking at DustinU's thread and liked the results he got with that combination of Superlift springs and the ORD zero rate.

So you're going to have a five inch lift. Keep the shocks you got with no problems. Unless they have been beat to hell they'll work fine.
