73-87 Interchangeabilty break down
Can someone please give a break down of the interchangeability of the years of these trucks sheet metal parts. Also cab to frame differences. Thanks

Re: 73-87 Interchangeabilty break down
The front sheet metal changed in 81, though you can swap the 73-80 for 81-87 and back and forth with a bit of modification. Front frame horns are also different for the different bumper. The 73-80 can be trimmed to fit a 81-87 bumper. The gas filler changed as well, but I am not sure of the exact date. Early models had an exposed filler cap, they later went to the door to cover the filler cap. The door panels and dash changed about 81 as well, but most things are pretty interchangeable, with slight modification.
