Blazer body mount bolts, listing

I ran across a post that Steve Chin posted back in 2000 where he listed body mount bolts for the Blazers and Jimmys. Steve is a Blazer "guru" and I don't believe that he would mind me reposting the information. I have not seen the information posted before, so if it has been posted prior to this, I appoligize.

Here are the bolts, sizes and lengths starting from the front to the rear, (stock lengths).

Radiator support: 7/16"-14 x 3 3/8" long, (2) carriage bolt

Body mount #1: 9/16"-12 x 6" long, (2) hex head

Body mount #2: 3/8" -16 x 10" long, (2) carriage bolt

Body mount #3: 3/8" -16 x 5 1/2" long, (2) carriage bolt

Body mount #4: 3/8" -16 x 4 1/2" long, (2) carriage bolt

Body mount #5: 3/8" -16 x 5 1/2" long, (2) carriage bolt

When the bolts were installed Steve used 3M Strip caulk under the heads to kep water out of the cabin.

I know for some of the classic car restorations there are the correct/factory bolt and screw kits for the cars. I believe for some of the classics they have complete kits for the whole car. Do they have anything like this for the trucks and especially the Blazers (since I have one)? It sure makes it nice to have the same nuts/bolts/screws, etc. instead of all the odd ball stuff that people use (including myself ) to get by.

I'd rather have rubber, does anybody know if they are easy to get?

I prefer rubber body mounts and I have used both. The rubber is a little more forgiving and for most applications poly is not needed. (I think that with off roading poly might hold up better. Rubber is more insulating for road noise, if that is important to you.

I used poly mounts in my plow truck as I thought that the banging around would affect the rubber more. Seems to work good but I cannot prove it does better than rubber.

Most of our vehicles are used as ordinary driving so rubber mounts are used in all but the plow truck.

I just received all new bolts, most are stainless and some are grade 5. I found a web site that carries all of the sizes that we need. It cost me about $45.00, shipping included, that includes lock nuts too. This thread is what I used for the sizes...thanks Jim!

I used these sizes for reference too. However, found out that the #1 & #2 position lengths listed were too long (ran out of threads before tightened up).
Got mine from Lowe's & a local parts store.
