short wide bed
ok guys everyone wants to make a few bucks but short wide beds with rust and body damage really aren't worth $800.00 to a $1,000.00 and I guess you can ask whatever you want but there really are to many out there to bring that price for a rusted up bed with more than a few dents on it !

Re: short wide bed
Around this area finding any SWB bed in any kind of shape is rare, I search a 4 state area all the time. I always hear of guys looking for one, they are hard to find. I talked to a guy the other day and he said he could buy all new aftermarket bed and have $2500 in it. So it kind of depends on you financial background which way to go

Re: short wide bed
Hey Grumpy. This is the parts board - are you selling a bed or looking to buy one? I assume this post is aimed at my bed I have for sale. Like Randy said, short, fleet beds are getting harder and harder to find in any shape. Also keep in mind that people are going to haggle on the price, so you start off high to allow room for this. Whoever this is aimed at, you have the choice to buy it or pass - no need for posting negative comments. Randy, thanks for your response to his post.

Re: short wide bed
I sell a lot of short beds just like Randy... Most of mine sell locally.
I think the price for each bed is based on the condition of each one. I, too... responded to the op WTB ad, yes the distance was far but I've seen people drive farther for far less. I think finding a good bed floor puts a bed far in front of others since a good floor costs $1K as opposed to bed sides for $385. Sorry just an observation, not stiring the pot. Mike |

This is the parts board. If you are not selling or wanting to buy please do not post a thread here.
