To Tape or Not To Tape...Please help...

I am replacing my heater hose manifold adapter with a new one. Old one did not have Teflon tape on it. I am also replacing the water pump plug. It Is Teflon taped.

Do I need to tape them??
Thanks

I would put tape or some kind of sealer on those. The temp sender is the one you don't want sealer on

There is no harm in taping it correctly, only the added benefit of no leakage. In the end, if you didn't want it to "show", you could always take a razor blade and run around the excess, for a clean finish. In my mind, benefits without repercussions are a thumbs up! Good luck and hopefully others will share some insight as well.

Third vote in favor of tape. I recommend the heavy-duty type rated for gas and oil - it's usually yellow.

yep, I use the yellow gas tape on anything that is going to see any temps above 125deg. It is 4 times the cost of the white but i have never had a leak using it.
