Interesting Fix for Under Bed Fuel Cell Access
I was intrigued by the solution the owner of this truck used to keep from drilling an access hole in his wood bed or his bad ass sheet metal for his fuel filler.
Wonder what you all will have to say about it. The Truck is showing at the Sacramento AutoRama...... Unfortunately its only one space behind mine

Re: Interesting Fix for Under Bed Fuel Cell Access
This is the truck itself. And if someone will be kind enough to tell me how to post more then one pic at a time I will stop posting so many replies..... I am on an iPad and using the "manage attachment" function but cannot upload multiple. So don't yell at me.

Re: Interesting Fix for Under Bed Fuel Cell Access
Here is a pic. And it is in Building A. They told me there are over 600 rigs this year, nice to see a big turn out. I saw a lot of nice old chevys but no other 4X4's.

Re: Interesting Fix for Under Bed Fuel Cell Access
Considering that the tailgate doesn't go down... that looks like a pain in the ass unless that bed floor raises up a lot more. You're average bed floor fill would have been much easier to use, but that truck probably only needs a tank or two a year anyway.
And... fricken' gorgeous truck! I love the champagne-ish color they used.

Re: Interesting Fix for Under Bed Fuel Cell Access
Just my 2 cents......... If you go through all the trouble of doing the body and paint, why would you want to drag the filler hose and nozzle over the gate and risk scratching it plus the chance of dripping gas on the truck

In my case I will be using a lot of the gas stations paper towels at each fill up.
