67 gmc engine swap questions
Hey guys I'm a little new to this thread stuff so here we go. I got a 67 gmc with the 305 v6 and 4 on the floor that I'm swapping for a 350/350. I need some guidance on were to get the right cross member for the tranny and what engine mounts and stands I need and whatever important info I could use. I'm doing this in my two car garage and I'm limited little more then basic tools so easier is better. I really appreciate any help anyone can give.

Re: 67 gmc engine swap questions
Welcome to the site go to the home page click on the tab in the upper left hand corner then go to FAQ section then click on the 67-72 section. Look there there is a ton of stuff you should look at. Also there is a tech section as well for the 67-72 truck in the same direction lots more stuff you will find those answers and enough great ideas to keep you going on your truck into the summer, lot of them cheap of cheaper that. Now, the question begs to be asked….why in the world do you want to replace a rare and sought after 305 V6 and replace it with a run of the mill small block? If you lived closer I would definitely take the V6 and bits and pieces off your hands

Re: 67 gmc engine swap questions
Well the reason im swapping the v6 is because I'm wanting more of a hot rod and I know the v6s are rare and full of torque but there just not what I'm into and the truck it self has sentimental value to me so I don't wanna sell the whole thing, but I would be interested maybe meeting half way for the right deal. If ur interested PM me and I'll give u the details on the v6.
