Mounting Tahoe third row seats

Removed the bench seat brackets and attached 1.5" 1/8" wall tubing on the front with 1/8" angle on the rear to maintain the correct seat angle.

The seats give more leg room and set the driver back a little more from the steering wheel. They are more comfortable compared to the bench seat.

Pulled it back out so I can mount a Kicker solo-baric 10" sub in the center. I will fab a console around the sub so it cannot be seen.

Hugh,
Like what you are doing. Printed it future use.
Wonder if there is a standard tahoe color that would work with medium green(OEM 529) interior.

Re: Mounting Tahoe third row seats

IIRC the seats fit a 2000-2006 Tahoe. I like these better than other late model seats because they are thinner, have a lower back, and integrated seat belts. These can also be found for around $150 in excellent shape vice $500-$750 for the others.

I'll have to do this too. Any ideas for a jump seat/console?

I haven't looked into that since I had no desire for a jump seat. I can tell you that you will have between 12-14" to play with depending how wide you set the seats apart.

Re: Mounting Tahoe third row seats

I was just thinking about doing the same thing using 88 truck buckets and a folding seat console. I'm in to see where this goes. Thanks for posting it up.
