1999 chevy 4x4 not working
1999 Chevy 1/2 ton 4 x 4 with auto 4x4 , will not switch out of 4 wheel drive .....tried different switch but still didn't work . What am I doin wrong ?

Could be the motor on the front axle is bad. Unfortunately, I dont know of a cheap and easy way to test that. You may just have to replace. Sorry for the vague answer.

On my 97 the solenoid (actuator) was weak. A tap on it popped it out of 4x4. $70 later, new solenoid, and back in business, in and out with ease now. Hope it is as simple for you!

had bad underhood fuse. info center on dash says service 4 wheel drive
