ecu question

i got a 04 5.3, I've ordered everything, even the ecu for it, UPS lost it and said it will take for me to be reimbursed that it will take a 8 day investigation...i need my a ecu way faster than that...i had bought a ecu for a 2004, my question is what year/years can i buy that will be compatible for my engine? i have a return less system if that helps

Re: ecu question

Who's going to take the VATS out of it? If you're getting one from a mail order tune place they should be able to flash it with whatever you need. I would stick to 03-05 truck with DBW though.

Re: ecu question

VATS is vehicle anti theft system. You do know it won't start without it disabled, right?
