Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

On the bright side, I got my seat covers today. Can't wait for the weather to cooperate so I can set them outside to make them easier to put on.

Not bad for $200 shipped. Got em off of ebay.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Just got her rental today. This insurance co is dragging their feet. They're going to pick it up Monday and take it to copart in Lebanon to have the adjuster look at it. I think it'll take a while.

Her rentals a Camry. I think she'll like it.

I want to get my truck back and get to driving it. I have been busy at work and working on the underhaulin project so it's like I'm still working on it lol. I hope we can get that truck done soon. If any of you haven't checked it in a while do so to see some progress.

Thanks guys. The scroll has a little push in spot I guess where it was packed. I hope that'll work out eventually with the heat.

I started the other one but the sun went down and the vinyl got stiff. So I'll finish it later.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

That seat looks awesome. I've bought the same covers and new foam for mine from pui. Have never put new covers on seats before. Was it very hard? Do you have any tips or pictures during process. Have been following your build.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Just remember how the covers come off and the sequence that its hog ringed.. The bottom cover goes on first. Don't lose any of the retainers that hold the inner wire. I dropped one between the cab and bed of my Colorado. Luckily I got it back though. I would do it outside in the warmth of the sun. Its so much easier. The material is more pliable. You can stretch and pull on it if needed. Take your time and have some hog rings and hog ring pliers handy.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

lol My hog ring pliers have to be the cheapest set around. I've had them for years tho and I've put bench seat covers on and now these and they did ok, not great compared to other tools I have. I am sure there are some nice ones put there somewhere. And Thanks Jeff.
