van tilt in Omaha, NE
Hi everyone, there is a automatic van tilt at the U Pick It on South 60th in Omaha, NE. It is missing a couple of levers and the plastic auto indicator is missing. Looks complete otherwise. I didn't have the right tools to pull it when I was there. Just thought I would throw this up in case anyone wanted it.

Can you discribe about where it is in the lot or maybe discribe the van it is in? Please. I live about a mile from there. Also is ity at the U pick it or is it at the U pull it which is to the north?

Sorry - you are right its at the U Pull It, here is the address I got off of Google U-Pull-It Auto Sales. 5900 S 60th St Omaha
There are 2 rows of trucks, the row in the very back and the row the is the second from the back. The van is in the row that is 2nd fromthe back. It is about a third of the way down the row. I can't remember what color the van is though, but I looked at a couple of those older vans there and it was the only one with tilt. If you need anything else let me know, I can call my father-in-law, he was with me and may remember more than I did. They wanted $37.50 for the tilt - so a great deal, I just didn't have the tools and didn't think it was worth going all the way back for it. Shawn

I found the one you discribed and after looking around a while I found another one with all the levers! So thanks for posting the message. It is a small world!

Hey s95930, did you happen to see any 60-66 chevy's or gmc's? Or any nice bucket seats out of a newer truck? Thanks... I should make a trip up there...

No trucks those years, They have quite a few 70 and 80 vehicles. But they do have a lot of trucks with seats. quite a few conversion vans.
There is a place just north called Hansen truck salvage it is not a u pull it type place but I talked to them on the phone and they were willing to sell a 60/40 seat for around $150 and let me walk the lot to find what I want. I have not done that yet but I should!

Glad to here that you found it. If the one you found with the levers was a non-tilt then I do remember that one. I am glad you were able to get it all together at once then , save a lot of $$.

The one I found was also a tilt. It was in the very last row in the corner I almost walked by it. And you are right it saved me a bunch of money!!! Thanks for the post.

Wow - you got a heck of a deal then. I was shopping at Sears for a good tool kit to take to the junk yard the next time I go, doesn't do much good to go without the right tools!!

They have about 3 or 4 71-72 trucks right now but they have been picked over pretty well.
