Carb Set up Help

Hey guys!

some of you know on my &2 C10 Stepside i pulled my I6 250 and installed a SB 327 in the same position as my I6. and ive never rebuilt anything like this before so im always running into things i dont know about haha.

I have Edelbrock 600 cfm Carb with electric choke and i have ZERO idea what i need to set it up. THe electric choke part i get, its what linkages do i need, do i need a different throttle cable, mine seems to be too long that sort of thing. I attached pictures so you could sort of get an idea and hopefully know what im talking about but as for right now......I have no idea where to begin to get this thing set up.....

Re: Carb Set up Help

You are going to need a bracket to mount the cable. Get a Summit catalog. They have various brackets for different installations. Or you might fabricate one. You will probably need a new cable also. The V-8 cable will fit better & a new cable works a lot smoother then an old one.

Re: Carb Set up Help

It looks like you're missing the little ball that screws onto the carb linkage. You will need that to snap the throttle cable onto. Once you get a cable bracket the rubber grommet looking thing on the cable slips into the bracket to hold into place. Then you should be good to go.
