Steering column help, pics?
Ok, so now I'm trying to figure out the steering column because I know there's parts missing. the PO didn't know what they were doing so I'm trying to pick up the pieces and make sense of it.
Can you guys tell me what parts I'm missing in my steering column assembly? I've got a 3rd party steering wheel. Here's some pics. It doesn't seem right. those are the parts that were assembled and so I took it apart and there's definitely missing pieces. Look at that piece of PVC in the center. Can you guys send pics of what it's supposed to look like and may be some links for parts? I tried looking at different website for everything but I'm not sure what's missing. |

Re: Steering column help, pics?
The bearing in pic1 goes over the shaft in pic 3 and fills the hole and stops the shaft moving about
That white wagon wheel looking thing in pic 2 I dunno what or where. The grey cast piece is what bolts to your steering wheel mounting plate ( which appears to be missing ) and should sit on top of that white piece. the cancelling cam is missing. There is probably more but I think that's a start.

yeah in pic 2 that plastic thing is a piece of PVC piping that the PO used. I was hoping for pics of completed ones to see what parts I need to order? Lol PVC pipe??? the POs really did a number on this truck.

That screw & washer on the turn lever is not going to work. It is up too high & will hit the horn contact ring & blow the horn.

I think the PO did something to the horn because the horn doesn't blow at all and lol I don't have anything to push for the horn to blow anyway

Re: Steering column help, pics?
So when I put my steering column back together I must've done something wrong because now my right turn signal flips on when I turn? Also, when I use my turn signal it doesn't turn off after making the turn???
