classic performance products (i think, have a catalog around here somewhere) sells a kit to use the stock drum brake spindles, but it uses gm car brake rotors, so you would have the small 5 lug car pattern on the front. it wouldn't be a kit i would want to use anyway, the car rotors are smaller diameter, and who wants a car pattern anyway? plus you would have to get the rear axles redrilled to car pattern to match.

if you want more info, pm me and i will find the catalog

There is a kit to put disc brakes on the drum spindles. It consists of a couple of brackets that bolt to the spindle and provide mounting points for the calipers.I had the link saved but lost it when I had a computer meltdown. The brackets seem pretty simple and supposedly the kit is just a bolt on.However I believe it cost around $150.00 or so.If you are looking to lower the truck too the cost of the brake kit plus lowering springs would still put you in a higher $$$ bracket than drop spindles and created a harder to alighn front end.
Try a brake search on 67-72 truck brakes and maybe you can find the link.I think maybe GMCPaul had these for sale at one time, but it may have been another BB vendor. If I find the info I will post it.
