K-30 ?'s
So im new to the squares, well kinda i have a 85 jimmy. So anyhow im going sat to pick up my new to me square it's a 84 K-30 and it's actually in pretty good shape so im happy. I do have a few ?'s though so
(1) whats the deal on the switch for the dual tank's seems as if i have seen a couple people ask to buy them on here and this new truck has a piece of tape holding the switch down im assuming only one tank work's. Also another member had mentioned if it had (2) death wobble im not for sure what that is, but thinking it has to do with the front end is that just a K-30 thing. (3) did they have a bright red dash color in these, because mine does it looks like it could be a factory color but it's not the original dash for this blue truck im sure of that, and its in great shape too compaired to alot i have seen. (4) I was reviewing for sale add's a while ago and seen a guy ask for a specific steering wheel, and a fella came on and said he had one for like 1500.00 bucs ofcourse the guy said no but what was the wheel he was refuring r diff wheels of more value. so thx oldno7

Re: K-30 ?'s
Death wobble has to do with the truck having a Dana 60 "kingpin" front end. When the kingpins wear out, the truck can experience that death wobble you speak of. Yes, a red dash could be original to a different truck, more than likely not your blue one. And steering wheels aren't worth a ton of money for these trucks. The one he was asking $1500 for was NOS and he was also out of his mind.

Re: K-30 ?'s
Ya know, for fit and grip, imo nothing beats this steering wheel.....leather wrap with a gorgeous emblem-all stock, found usually on 89?-93 S10 Blazer LT's. Boltbon and has a good feel-better than any aftermarket one. This is a pic of mine on my 86 K10.

Re: K-30 ?'s
plus that wheel isnt huge and doesnt feel like its in your chest as bad. that with the shortened steering column would be great.
