F/S AM/FM Radios

I have 3 AM/FM factory radios for sale. Not sure of working condition on any of them. No garantees sold as is.

1--Truck radio $180 SOLD
1--Van radio $165
1--Van radio, no knobs and missing selector bar $125

I will not have any pictures available for a few days, I do not have my camera right now.

Van radios will work in the trucks just the lens and dial look a little different

Thanks, Bill

Bill,
Have you seen the truck radio?
Is there pitting in the chrome on the face?
Visiual condition?
I'm very interested in the truck AM/FM Radio.
I would like to see some good photos however.
I can wait a few days. No hurry.

Darren

Darren, Yes I have the radio. I think the face on that one was pretty good. I will try to take a look later today. I will try to get my camera back asap to get you some pictures. I will keep you first on list.
Thanks, Bill

chevy vans had am-fm radios put in them from like 72all the way up to about 75 or 76. I pulled one out of a 72 van and it was identical to a pickup. Ive pulled several from chevy vans, 1973-1976 that were the same radio, only the numers are different and where it says delco on the plastic lens, I see a lot of radios on ebay getting sold as "factory pickup" am-fm's and they are out of vans.

Just as an FYI----and from some limited experience, I believe the big significant difference between the VAN and the TRUCK radio is the top metal framing piece on the VAn has slotted type holes for securing to the underside of some VAN dash verses the Truck NOT having any elongated slotted holes on the top of the radio. ALSO, I believe the Van radio has the antenna plug in hole on the lower bottom of the radio verses the TRUCK having the Antenna hole on the side.
I do know that the AM/FM TRUCK lense is available so don't use that as the determining factor.
Bill, with both units available, perhaps you can do a quick verification and we can all learn the "fixed real differences"??
Sorry for the interferance - just trying to help all know the facts here. Huck

I have also noticed that a lot of van radios had rear speaker faders. Kind of a neat subtle difference that can be installed and never detected by SOME of the purists....

Huck you are correct on the antenna holes, truck is on the side and van on bottom.
72skytop is right on the faders I have seen some vans with that works good if you have a few speakers.

Be sure to clean all your boxes. Messages, sent, and message tracking. They fill up fast.
Thanks for the info on the radios guys.

Wow, I had no clue they go for that much. I have the original radio in my 67. I was trying to decide if I should keep it and try and get it fixed. Anyone know who does this kind of work? If not I may end up selling it.

The AM only radios go for way less.
An average working AM radio goes for around $20 - $40
One that does not work sells for much less than that.
It may cost you more to have your AM radio fixed than just buying another good used one. If it is really clean however, and the chrome face is in perfect condition (no pitting in the chrome face), It may be worth fixing.
There is a New Old Stock (NOS) AM/FM Radio on ebay right now that will probably bring around $500 +/-
Check out this link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2452543760
